Unable To Pardon Saddam Hussein
Baghdad,
Iraq: After three years of trials
and appeals, Saddam Hussein was finally
executed by the Iraqi government.
The recent passing of President Gerald
Ford removed Hussein's best chance at
freedom: a presidential pardon.
With Ford out of the way, Hussein lost
all hope. He did, however, leave a
letter, which opens with the following
words: "My fellow Americans, our long
national nightmare is finally
starting..." |
